Masih belum punya pacar? Sudah cek Tokopedia belum?

Gak gitu juga sih, Tokopedia belum jual jasa dalam bentuk apapun. Yakali, apalagi ini masalah hati kan.. Anyway, ini bukan fokus membahas tentang sudah apa belumnya seseorang punya pacar. Tapi, kata-kata ini lebih ke bentuk representasi dari Tokopedia. Bukan, bukan jomblo semua namun, Tokopedia itu nyentrik dan seru. Selain nyentrik slogan-slogannya, disini juga ada Nakama Academy dengan atmosfer yang super seru untuk New Nakama. Besar harapan bisa mencerminkan para penggunanya juga.

Setelah enam interview sejauh ini, banyak pendapat-pendapat yang tentu saja memberi momen Aha! ini nih 'Tokopedia banget'. 

Ray Wawolangi, bagian divisi BMD (Business and Merchant Develompment), waktu di tanya mengenai Nakama dia menjelaskan satu point yang sangat menarik, "From batch to batch itu beda, makin kesini makin susah. Tapi Tokopedia juga makin kesini makin berkembang. Jadi masuk kerja di Tokopedia memang sangat selektif, tapi begitu masuk reward nya oke banget. Not to mention fasilitas, kita juga dapet yang namanya kebebasan." Bebas yang dimaksud Ray disini itu dalam lingkup arti tidak dibatasi dalam meng-eksplor pengetahuan-pengetahuan dari divisi lainnya.

Maka dari itu, sepadan dong kerja keras sama reward nya?

Mengenai kekeluargaan sih jangan diragukan. Lima dari enam orang bilang kalau masuk Tokopedia itu rasanya di-welcome banget. Senioritas? Gak ada tuh. Malah mereka lebih seperti kakak kandung yang bilang, "Ada apa-apa naik aja ke lantai 23 atau 6 atau 18 atau lantai-lantai lain kita. Tanya-tanya yang banyak biar gak disitu-situ aja." Ada kali tuh empat orang.

Jadi hak istimewa udah, kekeluargaan juga sip lah. Terus apa yang membuat orang harus pilih Tokopedia baik yang para pekerja dan pedagang juga pembeli? Pertanyaan ini sudah dijawab oleh coach Eka Wirya pada sesi pertama hari kedua Nakama Academy.

"Buat kita Tokopedia itu kota dan e-commerce ini salah satu gedung di kota itu. Jadi baru salah satu channel nya." Kebayang ya kalo kota nya sudah jadi akan seluas apa? Bener! Bakal luas banget. Tokopedia mau membuat perusahaan Internet buat Indonesia, kebetulan sekarang lagi fokusnya di e-commerce. Sehingga, untuk orang-orang yang bergabung dengan Tokopedia dalam bentuk apapun merupakan investasi bagi mereka karena nanti nya Tokopedia akan mengarah ke sesuatu yang besar.

Six interviews were conducted thus far, and many answers gave that Aha! That's so Tokopedia moment.

Ray Wawolangi, under BMD (Business and Merchant Develompment) division, was asked about his opinion on Nakama Academy. His answer is very interesting by saying, "There were always differences from batch to batch, the work load always doubled up as we get here. And Tokopedia is becoming more and more successful as they get to today. People need to go through tight selection process at first, but once they get in the reward is going to be worth it. Not to mention their extremely cozy atmosphere and facilities, they also get 'freedom' depending on how they utilize those available sources." The term 'freedom' that referred by Ray is the unlimited access to cross exploration regarding various divisions in Tokopedia.



Therefore, all the hard work would worth the reward. Wouldn't it?

Moreover, their value of kinship in workspace is doubtless. Five from six people mentioned that NewKama (newbies) are warmly welcomed in Tokopedia. Then, are there any gaps between the higher people with the NewKama? Na-ah. The elders are more like big brothers instead. At least four people keep a friendly reminder, "If there are any questions please come up to our floors, so you won't just stuck there. Even if you just want to say hi."

So, reward and kinship are checked. Another question would be, what makes people (both employees and participants) choose Tokopedia over other startups in Indonesia? This question was answered by one of the elders, Eka Wirya, his session on the second day of Nakama Academy.

Eka explained, "Visualize that Tokopedia is a city and our current business (e-commerce) is one of the buildings in the city. Thus, e-commerce is one of many channels that Tokopedia will expand later on." Imagine when the city is completely built one day. That's right! It would be huge. As for now, Tokopedia is focusing more on e-commerce, and has been one of the biggest in the country. Hence, for those who join Tokopedia today will form a big investment in the future. Because one day, Tokopedia will get 'there'.
